Tom Simpson

Since joining Kovert Hawkins in 1997, Tom has served as Project Manager on a number of commercial, educational, industrial and historic renovation projects. He has also been responsible for a number of the firm’s, award winning, tilt-up projects and for the success of many significant commercial, industrial and technology park developments. Communities entrust Tom with sensitive and vital projects which result in major company relocations and increased jobs in their communities.

Tom's experience prior to KHA includes working as a structural designer, and he has hands on experience in both residential and commercial construction, working himself through school as a flooring contractor. He has a vast knowledge of construction methodologies, including a specialty in concrete tilt wall construction.  His extensive experience in structural, mechanical and plumbing engineering design makes him an invaluable part of the team on every project.

Tom is a LEED accredited professional with a proven track record of buildings that are effectively, efficiently and economically constructed using sustainable practices. His reputation for being extremely detail oriented and thorough has caused him to become a valued resource to contractors, engineers and designers alike and he is regarded as an avid professional in our industry. His ability to integrate components of LEED, Energy Star and energy efficiency has aided our projects to become more sustainable and environmentally responsible while maintaining simplicity.
